Dreamt that there was a big black horse saved from ocean named Mosley. Driving to Pinter and my boyfriend who was Robb tried to drive my car. I told him no you’re a bad driver and you’re not on my insurance. Going to the library and trying to map the route to the vintage store that I always want to visit in my dream but can never found the way to get there. Walking through the ocean and it got very deep. Robb and I were way out in the middle of the ocean and the floor started to get very deep and I worried a shark might come. I took Moseley the black horse out of the water and brushed him and David (my ex) was putting poop on his hair to preserve his wet coat. I didn’t like that. We went to the library next and looked for the vintage store
Dreams can be a fascinating journey into our subconscious, often reflecting our worries, desires, and experiences. Your dream is rich with symbolism and can be interpreted on multiple levels.
The Black Horse (Mosley): Horses often symbolize power, freedom, and emotional strength. The fact that Mosley was saved from the ocean suggests a rescue or revival of something significant in your life, perhaps a part of yourself or a project that was in danger of being lost. The ocean is usually a representation of the subconscious or deep emotions. Mosley's presence implies that you have a strong and dependable aspect within you that has emerged from turbulent waters — perhaps indicative of personal resilience after an emotionally challenging time.
The Journey with Robb: Your boyfriend, Robb, attempting to drive may symbolize your relationship dynamics. You expressing concern about his driving skills and insurance suggests a desire for control or the need to feel safe in your relationship. It could imply you’re wary of potential risks that may arise if your partner takes the lead in significant areas of your life. This part of the dream may reflect your assertive nature, wanting to guide your shared experiences without recklessness.
Searching for the Vintage Store: Your struggle to find the route to the vintage store may represent a search for something valuable in your life that feels elusive. Vintage items often reflect nostalgia, memories, or aspects of yourself that you’re still trying to acknowledge or reclaim. This might speak to an inner desire to explore your past or integrate old memories into your current identity. The library symbolizes knowledge and learning, suggesting that you are actively seeking answers or understanding.
Walking in the Ocean: The deepening ocean indicates a plunge into deeper feelings or a situation you may not fully understand yet. The fear of a shark represents anxiety or fear of danger lurking beneath the surface. It could symbolize feelings of vulnerability in your current situation or relationship — a fear of unknown threats that may arise if you dive deeper emotionally.
Brushing Mosley and David’s Actions: The act of brushing Mosley reinforces themes of care and nurturing, indicating a desire to take care of this symbol of strength and freedom within you. However, David (your ex) putting poop on Mosley's hair could represent unresolved feelings or past conflicts that are affecting your current state. It may indicate a fear of past influences or relationships impeding your progress. The “preservation of his wet coat” could symbolize your discomfort with how past experiences or relationships may stain your current emotional state.
Conclusion: Overall, your dream paints a narrative of self-discovery, navigating relationships, and confronting past influences. It encourages you to reflect on how you can assert your agency in relationships while remaining aware of emotional depths and potential fears. Finding that vintage store may metaphorically represent the journey toward finding parts of yourself that are precious and unique, urging you to give attention to both your past and present as integral parts of the whole.
